WHY WE FOUNDED O'DONNELL SOLAR
After years of seeing poor quality solar installations and building owners frustrated with pure-play solar companies that come and go, we saw a need for a reliable, local and high-quality provider of solar and clean energy solutions. With roofing and solar intertwined at many levels, it was a natural fit for O’Donnell Roofing Co. to start offering solar in 2006.
In 2022 we expanded our commitment to energy with the founding of O’Donnell Solar, a sister company to O’Donnell Roofing, dedicated to and focused on solar and clean energy solutions. As more home and building owners seek to lower their energy costs, reduce their carbon footprint and become energy independent, we’re here to provide custom clean energy solutions that help them realize their goals.
Founders
Kevin O’Donnell
Kevin is a 4th-generation roofer and owner of O’Donnell Roofing, originally established in 1924. Kevin has always been focused on learning and applying the latest roofing technology and first got into solar working side-by-side with his father, Laurence.
His in-depth knowledge of roofing, carpentry and electrical work has enabled the company to take on more diverse and complex construction projects and eventually to form O’Donnell Solar with Chris.
He continues to provide high-quality craftsmanship, honesty and fair prices as did the three generations before him.
Chris Fisher
Since joining the solar industry in 2006, Chris has managed solar module manufacturing lines, worked in R&D developing solar products (including commercializing one of the first solar roofing systems in the US) and most recently was the Solar Product Manager at one of the largest building product manufacturers in the US.
With the opportunity to provide quality solar and clean energy solutions to the local community, he joined Kevin to form O’Donnell Solar. Chris believes that the right clean energy solutions have the power to improve people’s lives by reducing their energy costs, enabling them to be more energy independent and improving the environment.
